What about a 350,450,500 Honda sport quad? They take a 350 Rancher,450 Foreman or a 500 Rubicon make it two wheel drive change the motor and the body some, NEW SPORT QUAD. Rember the 250EX.

 

They will never do that. If they do it will be a pathetic sport quad because it will be shaft driven and to make the four wheel drive quad into a 2 wheel drive quad has got to be so hard. Everything but the cylinder will be changed on the engine. If you want something like that with the same engine you will need a dirtbike enging because all they would ahve to do is mount the sprocket on the axle. Good thought though

 

The 350 Rancher comes in two wheel drive. It would make a nice replacement for the old 300 EX. Would not be that hard to do. Look at the Recon to 250ex. It would be a big seller. Foot or electric shift, reverse, electric start, push rods no cam chain and drive shaft direct hit on the Warrior. Then you have entry level quads in a 250 and a 350 model. Reason I think of this is you can not get a 03 300EX right now unless the dealer has them on the floor they can not get them in to restock around here.

 

cuz people dont want all that in a sport quad. obviously you ride an utility? people want a manual clutch, chain drive, DOHC, 4 or 5 vavle or whatever they are doing now. nobody wants a pushrod motor for performance. yeah I have a 250ex and look at what happened there. everyone makes fun of them. plus a 300ex will stomp a 350 rancher. my little 250ex stomps a 350 rancher. nice idea tho. ya kinda made me laugh.

It wouldn't bother me to have a drive shaft on a sport quad.

I sure wouldn't want to have my cars chain driven. Just think of how you would have to do the chain adjustment.

you must have NOS on your 250ex cause my 2x4 rancher will smoke a 250ex w/ procircult pipe, and uni filter.

 

your full of it then. my buddy that just bought a rincon used to have a 350 rancher. it was a dog. and a kid that lives out by me has a 350 rancher 4X4. they only top out about 40-45mph.(even tho the speed says like 50) and takes them forever to get there. I think you have the NOS on the rancher. they are too heavy of a quad with an underpowered engine. I remember one day cuising in the country along side of my buddies rancher I was f@cking with him. he was topped out and I was in bottom of 4th. my quad barely breaks 50mph. anything that cant do that is very slow in my book. granted my buddy is a big guy and weighs at least 250lbs. but still. Ranchers are crap. If you are gonna get a utility get a rubicon or a rincon. anything else are dogs and have no power. sure you can have fun on them but they cant do much work like they were designed to do. you could of paid less and got a sport quad and had more fun and still do everything the utility does. you rancher guys are funny.

 

I do not want to start something, but on a gravel road I have passed a boy(about 155 lbs) on an 250ex with my Tboss(me at 205 lbs). In a drag race it was dead even until he shifted to 4th then I pulled away, slowly. My Tboss only has Aaen ehaust, RCR green clutch spring, RCR air box mod, K&amp;N filter &amp; jetted, minor weight redux. I like the way the 250ex rides and handles but it needs a little more power, but I guess that is why there is a 300ex.

 

thats why I put a pipe and K&amp;N mods on mine and 20&quot; tires to make me quicker. you might top out higher than me but I bet I am tons quicker. I keep right up with my buddy's rincon and according to atvaction the only utility quicker than it is the polaris 700 or something. or maybe that was topend. the rincon tops out a 60 and I top out at 50 now since I went to a smaller tire. But I get there pretty quick. matters on how long the drag would be since you guys have the bigger tires and higher top end. but since I mostly trail ride i dont care much about top end. the only honda utility Ive seen that is quicker than me is the rincon. my neighbor has the rubicon and i am quicker than that, but it tops out 4mph over me. And I am 175lbs. I dont think going 50mph thru the woods is gonna happen anytime soon where I ride. I just think that honda doesnt need another utility powered sport quad. for one it would be slow. 2 it would get laughed at. 3. nobody would buy it except for their wives. mostly kids and wives ride 250ex's. I got one cuz it was my first quad and it was decently priced and I liked the look. I didnt know anything about fourwheelers a year ago like i do now. If I did I would probably gotten the 300ex. I like them way better and I dont think honda is gonna get rid of them for a long time yet.
