Foreman 450 K&N

Would a K&N air filter help performance on a Honda Foreman? Will it require a jetting change? I have heard that you have to modify the exhaust to require a jetting change.
The reason I ask about jetting is I don't want to mess the quality of the reliability or warranty of my Foreman with 5 hours on it, but I am looking for a little better top end performance.

I run a K&N on my scrambler 500 4x4 and haven't had any problems. I have a buddy who has a K&N on his 2000 foreman 450 and didn't do anything to his carb or anything and hasn't had a single problem. He actually got a little deep in the river once and filled his airbox with water; stalling his motor right out! We towed it to shore, drained the airbox and removed his K&N filter and didn't find a single drop of moisture inside the tube to his carb! I was pretty impressed!
Just a tip though, don't overwash your filter. You only need to wash it every 75-100 hrs and remember to re-oil it.
