We beg people to shoot doe(legally) to keep the population in check.

 

really? we have a draw everyyear and you gotta pay 15 bucks to get in if you don't have a doe tag and u get caught shooting a doe your so sqrewed

 

in pennsylvania they have a set amount of doe tags they give out and a date that we have to get our applications in by, and if you're not fast enough, you don't get your tag. we have a drawing every year for elk though, you send like $10 for a chance at 1 of, i think like 50 tags. but if you do get a tag, they take you to like a reserve kind of thing to be sure you'll get one. so we really aren't that different. do you know how many tags they have in the drawing?

 

We have way too many doe here. You buy a hunting license and a doe tag at wally world and your set. Of course most of our deer here dont get the body size of yall up north or back east. A good buck here will weigh 150.....a good doe will weigh 120(Sad I know). We have decent racks but not like Ohio or Illinois or Kansas.

 

Yeah we get doe tags. I get a bunch for my farm. I get a buck(or doe) tag and 4 doe tags at no charge since I own my own property. If I run out of doe tags I can get more and they're free too. Pretty much unlimited as I understand. I don't bother to get any extra because 5 deer are plenty for me.
