What are reeds on a DXL 90 E ton?
I would like to know where the {reeds} are on my dxl 90 e-ton ? I just put in a new piston & rings and head.
the carb has been cleaned. don't really know where the screws are supposed to be? all the way in and 2 turns out to start
tons of spark plenty of fuel nuthing....
someone told me to replace the reeds. I really don't know what that is or where it is, how to find it or how to fix it. Please Help.

There is a reed box and reeds under the cylinder jug on 2 stroke engines. Take the cylinder off and turn it upside down , you can't miss them . Take off the steel looking grate over the reeds (which look like plastic fingers ) . Check to see if they are cracked or have a big opening between the fingers and the openings. If so replace them . Boysen reeds are the last i have bought a long time ago for a LT250R . remember them being around $20 .
