Default New BF750 owner and have some questions.

Hey guys! I've been out of ATV'ing for about a year but, this past week I broke down and bought a 2k6 BruteForce 750. So far I love this quad! The power is awesome!

But, since i've had some seat time on it I've come up with a few things that have my scratching my head and I was wondering if someone here could help me understand a few things...

1. Whenever I turn on the quad, or if I slow down to stop, or even sometimes at take off I can hear something that sounds like it is engaging almost sounds like a little motor of some sort on the right front side of the engine compartment, what is this and should I be hearing it as much as I do?

2. When reducing speed from somewaht of a high speed I've noticed sometimes the engine almost sounds like its going to die, or atleast soudns rough and I hear some what almost sounds to be clicking as I come to a complete stop. Is this a ersult of the BF's engine break, or is this something I should be worried about?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

OK... I should know this by now... I should have used the search feature...

It looks like the answer to my #1 is that is the engine break engagin and disengaging.

As far as #2 goes.. sounds like I should check the heat shield bolts....

Same thing happened to me when I rode my BF. My heat shield also rattled after a couple of rides. No worries the next thing you have to do is get better tires and rims!!!!!!!

Turn your idle up a bit. This will keep it from stalling when coming to a stop.

oh yeah, the little motor you are hearing is the KEBC engaging and disengaging, its working correctly(when the weird noises stop, then its time to worry, hahaha) and the heat shield bolts are a common issue, put some loctite on them and crank them down. wouldnt hurt give all the other bolts a look see. maybe some the clatter you are hearing is some of the slack in the drive train. all of this is normal, enjoy it!!

Yup, sounds normal alright. Suggest a Copperhead CDI, good set of rims/tires and a nice pipe, you'll be impressed all over again ~ Smoke 'em if ya got'em
