Default Bearing on end of primary clutch

This is on a 2005 360 prairie.

A few months ago the engine brake stopped working right. It was always engaged. We took off the engine brake arm and unplugged the motor. The quad worked fine and we didn't even miss the engine brake.

Today there was a thumping sound coming from the belt cover so we pulled the cover off and the bearing from the end of the primary clutch had fallen out.

It looks to me like all this bearing does is provide a place for the engine brake arm to push against. Since we took the engine brake arm out this bearing should not be needed. Am I correct?

the bearing is just for the fork from the KEBS to contact. as long as you do not use the enginge brake, it is just dead weight.

you can just leave it out.
