KFX 700 bowin 30 amp fuse
Yes I was in from July 89 to December of 98 active duty and until 02 in the reserves. I enjoyed my time and would not trade it for anything but am also enjoying my new job where I get paid to work rather than get a free meal and put it all out the 24/7/365.
I will try the grease rout and see how things go.
Thanks.

I've no experience with the big Kawasakis but the wire from the main fuse always seems to go to the voltage regulator and the ignition switch.
If the fuse blows with ignition off, the voltage regulator is bad and the fault will go off when it is disconnected or, if the fault stays on, the wire to the regulator or the ignition switch are shorting to earth. Tracing that colour of wire from fuse to ign switch and regulator will show the problem.
If it only blows when the ignition is on, the fault will be downstream of the ignition switch and a lot harder to trace. You may get a puff of smoke from hot insulation as the fuse blows if you are lucky.
