03 Bayou 250 - want info, need advice - Have mods & BLING

"- added folding seat back and ammo cans very similar to this guys setup."
Thought the same thing as faruquehabib. Saw the pic and thought you were now talking about that Polaris quad. Had to re-read the post 3 times before I found it.
Who reads all the way to the end of a sentence in the middle of a long post? Evidently not me either.
I've got a 2003 250 Bayou...just like brand new so I'm following your thread with interest.

bayou pics added
some pics from the summer
and one of the Bayou with the potato cannon.
These pics show the Winch. Its a ProMark 1500lb. winch with wireless adapter and a Warn winch plate. total cost was about $300 for the winch, the rf adapter, wiring kit and the mount plate.
theres a couple threads floating around that show the Bayou 250 Warn mount plate on the outside of the brush guard..it looks ridiculous, I hunted down the internal mount kit online somewhere.
Adding an Amsteel blue synthetic cable soon with a UHMW fairlead to cut down on weight.
bought it here
Amsteel BLUE
was only 54.00 plus shipping

I had a problem up front wiht the wider stance and these tires.
they are essentially Kendra Klaws, just a chinsese stamp on them, but are I identical to the Kendras, so I am convinced that they are the same manufacturer.
but they are soft tires, and I had a tie rod issue up front so my bike started to squat a bit and wore one of the tires out in a matter of days.
I thought for the longest time it was my shocks, but it was the tie rods were out of alignment, I spent a few hours toeing in and toes out thew tires to get the optimal stance and now it rides fine again and isnt shredding rubber.
BUT...I want new tires.
my tires sizes currently are
front - 22-7-10
rear - 22-11-10
these are great dirt tires but I have been running into alot of mud lately and they slime up pretty quick.
so I want a mud/trail hybrid tire.
I was looking at these
Swamplites
Mudlites
Superlights
AMS Sawmpfox
GBC Dirt Deveil (new version)
I was almost convinced that I wanted the superlights or the swampfox.
they are about the same price for a set ($250 from Tiresunlimited.com)
I am stepping up the size a bit.
front - 23-7-10
rear - 23-10-10
I want to go up to 24 but nobody makes a 24-8-10 or a 24-7-10 for the front.
I think I could clear a 24 with a little shock tower modification
But I am considering going cheap and buy these tires instead
Mud Gear ATV Mud Tires from Nebraska Tire
around $210 for all four isnt bad and my bike is so light they will last a while.
Although I do think the DirtDevil and the SwampFox tread pattern is a little better for trail terrain.

Kawasaki Bayou 250 Snorkle
Added dual snorkles
(I have absolutely no use for snorkles btw)
I used black 1 1/2" ABS bought from Lowes.
Total cost for this was about $50-60
I used flexible hot tub vacume line to run the hose from the airbox to the snorks
hoses were then wrapped in some fiber heat shielding.
the snorks are mounted to the front of the atv using a sub-fender mount plate made from some 3/4 lexan
this bolts to the bike itself and then the hoses pass thru the plate and get clamped into place.
essentially sandwiching the plate between the junction of the snorkle to the flex hose adapeter.
This method makes the snorks actually rather sturdy as I was afraid a tree brand might rip it off.
it became more rigid after glueing the hoses and fittings together.
