Default Combined "hi" and plead for help :)

Hi guys, im a very active member from essex, UK, on another quad forum however recently made a huge leap (both in the machine itself, and work needed) on a project bayou 220 (1990 i think but indeterminable as engine number barely visible and frame number non-existant) and your Kwak section seems a bit more lively than theres lol.

had a nice box of parts turn up from the US to get the frame sorted. and now need to get my head in gear. The engine was VERY tappy however seem to have resolved that (practically zero inlet valve clearance) but i have an oil "seep" from the gear selector lever. Cant really find much online other than a selector oil seal on ebay with no specific details. Im really hoping this is solvable without stripping the engine to its box so any part numbers, instructions or magic wands would be really appreciated

thanks

Welcome to the forums.

This is a parts diagram from a place I've used online. Hopefully that will help you some.

thansk for the response. had something very similair infact i think identical off another parts site and it seems to show the same, that on the gear selector make-up there appears to be no seal, ring or anything of the kind hence my confusion at how exactly the unit is sealed and how its leaking
