2004 Prairie KVX700 CV Joint outer boot torn
I know how to perform this fix but am asking what else do I need to fix or upgrade while I'm working in this area with everything apart. I like to fix future obvious problems while I'm in there if I can. ATV has 4500 miles on it and doesn't seem to have anything else loose or making noise, just the boot has been torn. maybe change both the inner and outer even though only one is torn? What other advice can you give please?
Thank you for any of your help and experience.

It depends on how it was torn, if it was old age, fitting a new inner boot is a good idea, if it got torn by a branch or string round it, then check the inner boot for perishing and, if it is OK put it back. I am not familiar with that model but, check ball joints, wheel bearings and track rod ends for play before dismantling, as now is the time to change them if they are worn. Any split (cotter) pins should be replaced with stainless ones during the rebuild and of course brake pads checked for wear. The caliper sliders may be stuck, so would need freeing.
