Guess you bought it....link wouldn't show up. Good luck with it....Hopefully you only paid maybe $1000 to $1300 if it needed a top end.

You may be better off....LOL Lots of good sport bikes out there...and any of the Jap machines are a good choice...me, my son, we prefer the Yammie 450's but again, all the Jap bikes are a good choice...IMHO. Keep looking!

ok what deal is still on its not sold he just left the ad expire. i can get it for maybe 2400 has new rear brakes and carrier bearings. he claims all it needs is a top end. should i low ball the crap out of him...even if its only the topend AND i do it myself thats going to be around 300 bucks.

I can't really say what you need to do? Does it run at all? Is it rideable? Needs top end....so it smokes.....knocks? Tops ends can get expensive depending on the circumstances of the failure.

well the bike is 46 miles away. all he says is that it smokes and needs rings and piston.. i don't know if thats an assumption or not. it seems like alot of people believe they "need" a new piston when the rings wear down. i don't subscribe to that. i'm going to make a dangerous leap of faith on that point and say the rings are just worn. maybe it would be wise to ask for a walk around video if a start and run?

OK, you can hear it run and can ride it then.....yes, check her out. Just use your own good judgement and really check that thing out. Alxe bearings, wheel bearings, visual on the brakes, condition of air filter ( hopefully it has one installed ), clutch operation, battery, and is it charging, oil, coolant...etc. Good luck, keep us posted!
