Default Why two different jet sizes on P650?

Why are the front and rear main jets on the P650 two different sizes? Seems like the different fuel flow rates would unbalance the engine. Is this some kind of design feature?

rty,

not to sure on the jet sizes, I'm pretty sure the rear cylinder runs hotter, if that affects anything.

I noticed you have a handlebar bag. What do you think of it? Cost? Any pictures?

Thanks

Because the rear cylinder runs leaner because of it being stacked behind the front head (HEAT). Thus requiring more fuel. The Shorter pipe also contributes to a leaner condition by allowing more flow. I run oil specifically designed for V Twins just for this purpose.

DirtyDawg--- IMO the Kawasaki bag is the best They run around $40.00 Plenty of room for a normal digital cam and a sandwich in there. I like mine. No pix of it, sorry.

I do like the handlebar bag. It is a $20.00 Kawasaki universal bag (black); I was too cheap to buy $40.00 Prairie bag. However, the universal bag works great and looks almost the same. It is a great place for goggles, gloves, glasses, extra key, camera, water bottle etc...

Mine attaches with velcro and is easy to take off, but I hardly ever remove it.

I use Mobil 1 V-Twin Oil which is a synthetic and actually not that expensive compaired to Kawasaki's oil from the dealer.

I am running 142 Front and 145 Rear and thinking of moving on up a little to 145 Front and 148 Rear as my pipes are turning blue and I have a slight bog at the bottom end. Thinking of trying this before it gets too hot as I am only 500 - 2000ft range in sea level

You don't need to run the motorcycle mobile one V-Twin it is twice as much as the regular Mobil one. You have know clucthes to worry about. Just run the Regulare 10w30 or 20w 50.

I just sold a Prairie 400 1997 model with 34,000 Miles on it and it ran nothing but Mobile 1 like this one form the day I got it so I will stick with Mobile 1 I think.

I'm not saying to not run the Mobile 1 continue to run it, you don't need to by the specific V-twin one that is formulated for the wet clutches in the motor cycle or atv since the Priarie doesn't have them the regular Mobil 1 syn. will work and be half the pric.
