2005 E-Ton Viper 150 Tranny Problems
Hello hope someone can help out. I just bought my daughter a 2005 E-Ton Viper 150 and it needs a little work. The transmission grinds when you put it in Forward and give it a little throttle and when you shift into Reverse it moves but then clunks. My problem is not how to fix this issue as I cracked open the transmission cover and found that the Gear Shift Shaft is missing some teeth on the small outer gear. Unfortunately they only sell the thing as a complete unit that cost $180. My problem is that when I removed the Gear Shift Drum one small ball bearing fell out with it and now I can't figure out where it went! I've been searching hi and low for a service manual that has an exploded view showing this Gear so I can figure it out but no luck. If anyone has done one of these before or has any knowledge of how and where that single ball bearing goes I would be forever in your debt! The machine is in pretty mint condition overall and the motor runs smooth which is why I don't mind fixing it. Thanks in advance for any help!

Thanks LT80, I've been trying to find one locally but it's tough in CT as a lot of dealers have been forced to close as of late due to the terrible economy and sky high prices in this state. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I either find a dealer nearby or that someone on the Forums has worked on one of these before and might know where that part goes. I have some pics of the part that I'm talking about but not sure how to post it in here. I was able to upload them to my album on the Forum but not sure if everyone else can see it.
