Redcat/Kazuma fx150 trans
Iam posting this for a friend. He has a redcat fx150. It has one of those auto trans which just has a shift lever on right with foward and reverse. It wont go into either now. It was very hard to shift but now wont shift at all. Anyone else have this problem? Any one have and ideas on what to look for?
thanks in advance.

I have read posts on these forums about similar problems. One rider found that rocking the bike back and forth while trying to move the shifter helped. My neighbor has a Yamaha 350 Raptor, and we found that it was difficult to move into and out of reverse also and rocking the bike helped.
Hope that helps.

The first Reverse Transmission Assembly that I replaced, I removed the Racks, Fenders, and the Engine. Now I recommend removing the Left Foot Peg and the black plastic part of the rear fender in order to remove the Black Transmission Cover.
I maul the head on the M12 x 1.25 Flange Nut that holds the Belt Clutch in place. I use a Chain Wrench to hold the Belt Clutch while removing this nut. I replace the nut with an ARP M12 x 1.25 12 point Flange Nut. I bet everyone mauls the head on that nut trying to get it off. I have some Grade 8.8 non-serrated flange nuts on order but they will not arrive for another couple of weeks. The ARP nut cost about $5 EA. The only other nut I could find in stock was made of Titanium $$$$.
The Gearbox which is actually between the Transmission and the Reverse Transmission has its own oil drain and fill plugs. These are not mentioned in the manual. I fill the Gearbox with 8 oz of 80w-90 Gear Oil. The Reverse Transmission needs 16 oz of Gear Oil.
