Default Jetmoto 200 Test Ride Results

Here is what I found out after my test ride of the Jetmoto 200 :
Positives:
Has plenty of take off power
Sounds good with the stock pipe setup.
Will bring the front end up in 1 st,2nd and third going up an incline if you really pull up on it. ( remember this is break in so I am not really hard on it).

Negatives:
Headlights point to the ground about 5 feet in front of you.
All gears are too low, need a 5 speed or smaller countershaft sprocket.

This is all I can think of at the moment, all in all this is a fun machine .

Thanks,
D.

BTW: Has anyone noticed the gear ratio , has anyone looked into a bigger counter sprocket ? All the gears are too low for my taste . How about a countershaft sprocket off of a Honda XR200 , would this work ? I think 1 tooth bigger would make a heck of a difference.

Pull the current sprocket and run down to the local dealership and see if they can match it up. Even the stealerships only charge $15.00 for a countershaft sprocket. They should at least be able to point you in the right direction if they don't have the size you need.

you can try sprocket specialists to they are pretty good about matching them up and the prices are fair

I have always thought a 5th gear would be nice but also wondered if it would allow you to out ride the suspension. I will ask Eugene about different sprockets today too.

I was reading over my posting . I actually need a LARGER countershaft sprocket not a smaller one. MyWife, what did you find out about the sprockets . I have an idea if you want to check on something for me . Can you check on the spline size on the countershaft sprocket on your XR200 ? Unless, it has a 520 chain then the sprocket pitch is too big.
What did Jetmoto say about the sprockets when you talked to them on Friday ?
Thanks,
D.

There are no sprockets available from Jetmoto exceptfor stock replacement items. Eugene suggested Sprocket Specialists too. I know the XR200 uses a 520 chain but was just thinking my XR75 uses a 428. I might try Scooters idea. It would be nice to compare it to a whole bunch of sprockets.
