If you have gone thru 4 sets of gears in 6 months. i would look for a different supplier for those parts. Where did you get the first 4 sets?

I would give RaceWayATV a call and see if they can match a set of gears up for you. I would guess Apex doesnt heat treat their gears good enough. Unless you dont put enough oil in the engine because of a faulty dipstick possibly. What kind of oil are you using? And how much do you put in the engine? I doubt that oil level is the problem but I had to ask.

Are they landing on the gas? You got a tranny saver on it?

We have been racing a APEX all the nationals this year and havent lost one set of gears and we have the tranny saver on it from WRH Racing. Give Billy a shout and tell him Justin told ya to call him.

What is a tranny saver?

I went to the WRH website and looked at a tranny saver. It looks like it would definitely help.

it basically takes the slack out where the output shaft is and doesnt let everything flex as much from my understanding................but knock on wood no broke gears and like i said been running nationals...........

the apex gears alone are pretty good but like with any cvt mini if land on the gas its gonna pop...........thats why asked about that........

Common problem on any brand mini with more engine power than the tranny can handle effectively or when the child lands while on the throttle.

Seeing an Apex pushed off the track is as common as seeing the checkered flag....At least 1 at every race....

The new DRRs are keeping pace with the Apexs, but finishing races

Give em a look....

DRR is also supported by honest, people that care....
