Just got done rebuilding the top end on my sons 90 scrambler. Before I go starting it up I want to ensure I have the right oil/fuel ratio. The oil pump is out of service so I need to mix it in the fuel tank. Manual says 40:1. I am under the impression it needs to be richer during break in. Thoughts?

I mix at 32:1 always.
With a good synthetic oil that is.
