there is only so much adjustment on the rear axle, it is all within where the axle mounts to the swingarm (leads to the frame), and also the fine tune and holding adjustment bolts that are the rear-most set of bolts you see hanging out back. better to buy a chain that's too long, then you can remove links till you are within the range.

start by loosening both the swingarm bolts, and the 'fine tune' adjustment/puller nuts. you may have to loosent the 'fine tune' nuts further as you go, you'll figure it out. you will have to remove the cover for the sprocket on the engine itself, then put the chain over that and around your rear sprocket. if you cant get it on, your chain is too short. if it is too long, find the link and make the chain shorter. once your chain is on both sprockets, make sure you start tightening both 'fine tune' adjusters equally, or your axle will be off kilter/out of alignment... and you aint gonna go straight... safely... make sure your chain still has a touch of deflection (looseness/play), but not much. (and this is done with weight off of the wheels and suspension- full sprung reach), then tighten the swing arm bolts and recheck the chain deflection and keep adjusting until you are happy that it's not to tight, or going to jump off.

one tip, dont wrench on the 'fine tune' adjusters too much/tight, they like to bend in. also, you can replace the rear sprocket bolts with bolts and matching lock washers and nuts. not fun when the quad stops moving and you hear metal (chain) scrambling between your legs
