Exclamation e-Ton viper 150 not starting up - at all! Help please!!

So, first - I found the culprit on why the ATV wasn't moving forward..

Their was oil in the crankcase, flooded the belt.

Also, the left part - their was little rollers in the back, they were all out, which probably restricted the belt from going to where it was supposed to be going.

I reassembled that whole part, and been dieing to test it!

This ATV never started easily.

The choke has an arrow going to the left, but book says choke is to the right..

Anyhow, I had this started without the belt. It took time to get started..

I turned it off - bad idea!

Put belt on today, and tried starting it - it does the same thing as yesterday, but will NOT start..!
I spray the plug and inside with starter fluid, and it almost starts - then dies! :/

So what do I do?

I need help!

Where can I get a maintenance manual for this thing? Online manual - free.

sounds like it is getting spark if it'll almost start on starting fluid. be careful with that stuff, you don't wanna torch the rings. have you pulled the carb apart and cleaned it/inspected it to see if it's got fuel in the bowl where the float is located. does your spark plug smell like gasoline? have you pulled a hose off of the carb to see if gasoline flows freely from the tank to the carb? is your fuel tank vented so it won't vacuum lock and quit flowing to the carb? i presume the starter turns the engine over at normal RPMs? as opposed to barely turning/cranking over? take the carb off and verify choke position. verify fuel flow, check/change fuel filter if applicable. lots of things to look at and determine why it ain't getting fuel or if it is the belt dragging it down. we have to eliminate culprits one at a time. be patient.

sounds like your jets are plug closed take them out soke them in carb cleaner for 10 to 15 min then take compressed air blow them out then take a manifie glass and see if there completly clean and keep repetting this if there still dirty or you caould buy a carb rebuld kit for 12 bucks and put that in and see if it runs

is the Eton 150 a GY6 engine? if so, LynnEdwards has an excellent commentary on the cold startup bypass for it..

Okay,

I'm no mechanic. I'm actually a PC technician..

However, I took off the Carb and Yes, it is getting fuel. I try to start it, and fuel comes out of the hose from the tank - inline fuel filter.

It goes pass the fuel filter.

The one long jet isn't dirty.

I didn't check the other jet..

The carb had gas in it. The carb ends were not wet.. Completely dry..

Now, the carb goes to a plastic piece, that is bolted down to the (head?).. It delivers the fuel..

I covered it - making sure nothing gets down in there, but the one bolt had white dry stuff on it.. Looked like battery acid, almost.

I stuck my finger down in there, and looked at my finger - and it looked dirty kinda.

Maybe the gas just made my finger look weird.

But, what are the steps that I should take?

id start by cleaning the other jet and its comen to be a little dirt the finest of dust doesnt always get cought in the filter im not sure what the white stuff on the bult would be never heard of that but after cleaning the smaller jet thats your idle jet you will probly have to rejust you idle screw and than it schould run fine

so, when you had the jets out of the carb, could you see daylight through the orifices?

I didn't take out the most bottom jet.

I took out the one in the middle of the carb.

It was a long thin jet.

Perhaps choke?

But their was no orifices.

So the smallest dust can restrict it from starting?
What does a jet even do?

How would I adjust my idle jet?

yes, even the slightest little insignificant piece of "trash/debris" foreign object can plug a jet. the jets send gasoline to the carb, down the intake, which you called a rubber thing that bolts to the head/jug/cylinder. the jets even have to be clean axially, down the center/throat of the jet. you need to be able to see daylight inside/outside/in the middle, and through the orifices. the choke is located near the top of the carb, next to the throttle slide at the top. but just to the side, in the pic, the slide/throttle, nearest to the viewer, that is the choke assembly. yours should be somewhat similiar if not exact. thanks.
