Default Parts for LT80 tune up

Hey all;

I'm going to be ordering a bunch of parts in preparation for doing a major tune up on our, new to us, LT80.

I'm going to get new throttle/brakes cables as the current ones are stiff. The rear brake indicator shows things are worn there, so I'm getting new brake pad set for it.

I haven't opened up the clutch cover yet, however are there any parts I should get no matter what? I was thinking of getting 6 new rollers for certain, anything else which is a given under the cover?

Thanks for any pointers...

You might as well get the plate that covers the rollers. It's only a few bucks. If the rollers are wore, so is that.
Rear brakes seem to last forever but you will need to re-position the lever on the splined shaft to get the adjustment where you need it.

When I saw the title "LT80 tune up", I was pretty sure it would just be how Jack gets a "tune up".....beer, magazines.....etc. Sorry LT......couldnt resist a set up like that !!

Thanks for the suggestions. Turns out I was reading the indicator on the rear brake wrong. Looks like it has lots of room left. I'll adjust the arm as you suggest.

I added the the plate to the order. Was only ~5 bucks.

Parts are on their way....

One quick question about the shoe lightening. I still have the throttle restricted via the adjustment screw for my son. Will lightening the shoe's be an issue with the restricted throttle?

So I did a compression test tonight on the motor when it was cold. I got 100psi. Is this acceptable or should I be looking at doing some work? I could see the top of the cylinder had a lot of carbon build up on it, and here's a picture of the plug.

I consider the LT80 in stock form a lil jerky to start out. Lightening will smooth it out a lil.
No problem with restricting.
