Default What are some good kids quads

I'm looking for a 90cc kids ATV with reverse and auto clutch. I'd prefer a four stroke. I'd like a name brand but I know that Hondas don't have reverse. What other models are there with these features in any brand.

I'm not sure what's currently being built if you are looking for a new one, but if you're willing to go used, the Yamaha Moto 4 80cc is probably the best there is. You can also get a Polaris Sportsman 90. If you could find either of these 25 years old or newer you'd have a better ATV than a new Chinese one.

I have a line on a 2010 Polaris Outlaw 90. Asking price is $1800 but they may take $1500. Is Polaris as reliable as a Japanese brand? I'm not sold on the CVT transmissions. My budget is more like $1000 so I'd like to find an older but reliable unit.

Not as reliable as a Japanese one but seems to me it would do fine for a kids ATV. Most people just get their kids a cheap Chinese one anyway, my niece has a no-name Chinese 90cc and it's been trouble-free despite the fact that all the adults in her family ride it all the time. In a few years I'm gonna be faced with what to get my daughter and it will likely be a Moto4 but if I found a deal on a Polaris 90 I wouldn't hesitate to go that route.

I feel that the Tiawanese machines (like the ones polaris sells) are as good as any Jap bike.

We had a Moto4. It ran fine but was a guttless wonder.
Also, CVT's are a wonderful system IMO.

Kids will grow up, get tired of the small ATV and want something bigger.

I suggest getting a cheap used one, any brand, make sure it runs properly.

You'll probably have to sell it in a couple years anyway.

I bought the granddaughter a 70cc Hensim for $100. Engine runs fine, tires good.

I'll put another $50 fixing little things, and probably get my money back when I sell.

I should add, Eton made a 4 stroke w/reverse. A 90R model I think.
