Default lt80 nerf bars lose parking brake?

Just bought a set of dg nerf bars for the lt 80. First step says to remove foot pegs. So am I gonna lose the foot pegs when I install the nerf bars? Or do I have to cut/modify something? What about the parking brake? Its welded to the foot peg that I'm supposed to remove, I dont mind losing the parking brake but then how do I start the bike?

If you have to remove the parking brake to install nerf bars you will have to splice the two wires together that are going to safety switch before it will start if it has'nt already been done.

No, you do not remove the footpegs.
You add the nerfs to them.

Thanks I figured out the nerfs. My parking brake needs to be pulled of and rotated up on The splines, it hits the nerfs when it goes down. Also my brake looks like it will be under the nerfs? Isn't the net gonna prevent from pressing the brake? If I put the net under the brake it will have to sag kinda low so I have room to push the brake down? Im taking the bike to have the factory heel guards welded onto the nerfs tomorrow

Sometimes we make a spacer and weld/bolt it to the brake pedal so that it sticks up thru the net.

I guess I could do that. Why would dg make a set of nerf bars for the lt80 that require so much work? There's no way every person welds extensions on their brakes or I probably would have heard about it before buying these

I made a aluminum piece and bolted mine on.

"Why would dg make a set of nerf bars for the lt80 that require so much work?"
Hey I donno...One of lifes mysteries, sorta like::::::::
Why does DG sell nerf bars w/o heel guards? Everyone knows the foot goes back, not forward on LT80's.
Why does DG sell a 20mm carb for a LT80 that falls out of it's adapter with no way to reattatch it?
Why does DG sell a pipe that does nothing other than make a machine loud?
Why don't I use spellcheck?!?
Why is it the wife is never wrong????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????????
<EG>

"I probably would have heard about it before buying these"
Dude, I could talk all day about things on a LT80 that you and most ppl haven't heard.
