cranking slow
Hey everyone I finally swapped out the carb, removed the gas tank n flushed it out . charged the battery..Gonna start it but its cranking over slow, how long does these batterys last few years? Im wondering if the starter is getting tired n drawing more power to crank it over? I even pulled the plug ,cranks alittle better.
Where does everyone get there starter n batter's from ebay? n from which seller.
when I get this to cranking problem fixed any thing to look at for when I start it with the new carb.(it anint gonna rev hi) do I have to adjust the carb?
how does everyone change there starters ,do I have pull the carb off? any tips/info would be great thanks

With the plug out it should spin fast.
Battery's can last a few months or a cpl years usually if kept charged.
Only carb adjustment is the idle screw.
R&R starter: I remove the carb but some say you don't have to.
Stand the machine on the grab bar, fashion a rope/chain to the front bumper and ceiling mount (hopefully you have a garage and rafters to work off of). Partially remove the long bolt that holds the motor in. Now you can pry the motor away from the frame enough to wiggle the starter out.
I get carbs/starters from ebay. No particular seller.

All four of mine have 5L-BS in them, not sure what cca they are. Seems like the first lt 80 I bought had a 4L-BS in it went to the 5. Try the battery first, just ordered a starter, I thought was bad just turned out to be a weak battery made starter sound like it was not engaging the bendix, it will get used i have four to maintain .

Either Walmart or autozone. Do you have a battery charger, if not you may need to call and ask if either would be able to charge it for you. They come where you have to put the acid in it after you buy it. They have some charge to them after acid goes in but they need that first initial charge to start their battery life right.
