Default 2012 Outlaw 90 Gearbox grinding

Theres a bad grinding noise coming from the gearbox when riding and even when I roll the back tires on the stand.
The tranny still spins freely for a second when I stop the tires from rotating and I can hear the grinding noise.
Does this sound like a bad bearing inside there or is it a matter of draining the CVT system?
Just want to see if anyone might have an answer before I take the CVT cover off and probably need a new gasket.
The manual says there's a drain plug for the CVT. I see a big allen head screw on the under side of the motor, would this be it?

Clutch system is dry.Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Polaris, Suzuki & Kawasaki OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse Before you go too far I'd have a manual to help. One big plug is the engine oil drain plug and screen. Item#16.Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Polaris, Suzuki & Kawasaki OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse Plus here's the gear case. One screw at the bottom is the shift drum detent bolt, spring and bearing. Don't loosen this one.Item#41.Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Polaris, Suzuki & Kawasaki OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse Plus here's the cheap 5 buck manual. Shows the 2011 model, but should be the same as the 2012.2011 Polaris Outlaw 90 Service Manual PDF Download

Thanks Old Polaris.
So what do you recommend?
Take the CVT cover off and inspect the inside maybe? See if the belt is slipping or what else would cause the grinding?

Start at the easy stuff first like the sprocket on the gear box and chain. Could possibly be a drive or driven clutch problem and not inside the gear case, but having the manual can at last help you narrow down things without tearing into it blind. Even a cheap engine stethoscope can help narrow down where the noise is.

Well this doesn't look good.
So does this main clutch bolt come off and then the CLutch slides off?
Seems like the drive shaft snapped...Does the shaft go through and its the one the Sprocket is on as well correct? Part # 31

Can't see either one of your videos and not sure on shaft #31 as I haven't had the opportunity to tear into a 4 stroke gear box on the little ones before I retired. That's where the manual is your best bet ..

Not sure why the video doesn't show up. I can see it on the screen as I type this. I can grab the Clutch and move it around freely.
Not sure if its a separate shaft but it seems it is on the parts microfiche.

It should work now

The service manual is useless in this situation. It doesn't tell howto get the Clutch off.

Found the problem. Need a bearing and the rubber Seal that goes in front of it. Not a serious problem but it's odd for that bearing to let go.
