DS90X upgrades

This is probably not the response that you want. I had started my son on a Kazuma 90 when he was about 5 or 6. He quickly outgrew it and I found a used DS90X in really good condition. No issues mechanically or otherwise. I thought it would be a great improvement because of the width, suspension, and disc brakes front and rear. Plus, it is a really sharp looking machine. It turned out to be the most gutless 90cc quad we had ridden. Unfortunately I had already bought the quad before testing others. The Suzuki, Honda and Polaris quads all had much stonger motors. On flat, level ground the Can-Am did okay. Anywhere else, it was awful. It even had an aftermarket pipe and ignition. As I said everything was in excellent condition, but who is to say that we didn't end up with a lemon. Since my son was growing so quickly, we just opted for a Honda TRX250EX. It was a big jump, but from the time I introduced him to ATVs, he was taught well and he never, ever rode without me being with him. Sorry for the negative feedback, but I just wanted to share my experience with that particular quad. We ditched it in a hurry. I hope yours is better than ours was. Good luck.
