"I doubt it could run on 45 PSI." These engines will run on 45psi, they are just pigs to start cold and loose power. We have one in at the moment (selling for a customer) and I'm fairly sure it is down there on compression, haven't tested it, but cold, it only starts on choke and needs a lot of churning before it fires up, warm it fires up right away.

I've got them in and the bore was so worn that the oversize piston fit in. That's loose! Lol

Most 2 strokes are cold blooded...known fact...


the chokes/enricheners usually don't enrichen enough...

The lt80 is running as soon as I hit the start button it fires right up, just revving super high when i start it so guess I need to adjust some things; throttle cable, needle, idle. After all is said and done I rebuilt the carb, replaced the top end with a chinese Zoom Zoom kit, new throttle cable, and some boysen power reeds. Thank you to everyone for your help and insight. Need to get it tuned in before spring time, although it feels like spring here this weekend.

I'd guess the carb slide is not in correct. Notch and groove.
