i think ur hp figures r a bit off. I don't think a stock kfx will even break 40. Try hot seat performance, they should be able to help you with scrambler performance parts.

It's putting about 53 at the crank and 33-34 at the wheels I think

Best thing you could do is sell the polaris and get the V.You do mods and he does mods your still going to get spanked.

nah, me no lose. I am going to put on the hpd exhaust kit, change the jets, and pput on the team secondary rolller clutch. Then my other friend can hook me up with a nitrous express kit. Like a 25 shot to start. Wax that dawg.

Check with RCR (www.rittercycle.com) , they are a HPD dealer and they will help you out. Full tilt would be a complete exhaust system, hi-compression piston, hotCAM, airbox mod, port head, tune clutch. If you go there you'll want to start to improve the quads handling; such as lose the floor boards and go with footpegs w/ turn-up on the ends, knobberz bar ends, upper and lower steering post bushings, split the brakes, holeshot tires (or similar), upgrade suspension. Hang on and look out. For $500 you can make some nice (very noticable) mods, going full tilt will cost you $3000. Youll find out for $1000-$1500 you can make a scrambler run with just about anything youll come across out on the trails, including a V-Force 700.

Its easy for people to bash other wheelers, but I just dont get it. I suppose it would be better if we were all 6'-2", blonde hair, and blue eyes too, right????
I grew up on 250r's and love them but now I ride a Scrambler 400 4x4. Wouldnt have been my first choice a few years ago. But know I have a 65hp 4x4 that hugs the ground through the woods. I ride with about 50 people only about 5 of us are top riders and we all ride something different (scarmbler 400 4x4, banshee, z400, ds 650, ex 400) we all have their strengths and weaknesses, but nothing beats the shock value on a Polaris bashers face when you leave them behind. By the way I love this so much I even added front and rear racks with bags to add to the shock value. Think about it a Polaris 4x4 w/ racks playin' with the "big boys" and their pure sports quads.

Sounds like your going to have to spend alot of money, time; and less reliable then stock to hang with the V-FORCE. I own a V and by know means is it very fast.Has good bottom end, thats about it. Is the best trail machine I have owned and thats what I bought it for. Trade your POLARIS in for the V. The only problem you might have is POLARIS resale is the worst of all makes out.

your not going to lose reliability with a properly modified motor. and I can buy a new Scrambler and mod it cheaper than the price of a new V-Force. Ebay your stock parts and theres no comparision $ wise. Scramblers arent the best handleing quad but stock vs stock there better than the V-Force. In fact the V-Force is great in a straight line but sticks in the corners. Dont get me wrong I like the V -Force a lot, but you seem to think everything else stinks. each to his own, but I think your opinons are more bias than factual.

The V is going to be pretty tough to beat. Especially if he does mods as well. I'd love to know if you can do it. Look at FST's 600 Scrambler kit. I've inquired about it. Mickey couldn't give me any HP numbers, but I've heard it's quite impressive. Figure on around $1200 bucks when you add a pipe, clutch kit, cam, and other stuff. It's $575 for the stroker crank and piston kit.
