Anyone have the specs for the settings for the valves and carburetor for a 1983 Suzuki 125LT?

I have changed the piston, rings, valves have been ground, rebuilt the carburetor, compression is good. Still am having problems getting full, even power. When throttling, engine will not rev evenly but surges, and then, not even at full power.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried the manual?..It's invaluable when it comes to numbers like valve lash and torque.

thx for the info. It will help. I found that part of the problem was the jets in the carb. 3 of them were clogged. Then, the timing chain was off by a whole gear tooth. Part of that was my fault - the timing chain was so loose from stretching that I took 2 links out of it and when I put it back on, even though the spark plug was dead center, the timing lines were in the right place, a valve was in the open position. That made it hard to start and wouldn't let it power up. (Duh!) Having taken the time yet to fix the timing chain, but will have it done this weekend. Will let you know how it goes. Thx for the response and all the info. Am printing it for future reference!

Long live this 125 LT.....
