Default what carb can I use for a 96 2 stroke Polaris sportsman 400 4x4

Was hoping to not have to purchase an OEM carb for this thing since I don't want to invest alot of money. The carb on it had a hole in the housing. Was just wondering if any 34 or 32 mm mikuni round slide carb for work.

Have you tried fixing the hole? There are some pretty good materials out there.

No I haven't. I took it apart to clean it and it looked like some yellow jel in the corner and I scraped it off and discovered there was hole there that someone had previously fixed. But the inside of the housing looked corroded so I thought I may be best off to get a new carb all together. Don't know anything about it so I'm open to any advice you guys can provide and greatly appreciated.

Levers can be removed and your cable choke can be used. Always check jetting against the oem carb. If you have to use you main and pilot jet.A lot easier if you just post in one section and not in multiple locations. Just confuses people.
