First thing I asked my nephew on the fire at the shop.Rzrs and Rangers were kept in the third storage building. The fire started in the second building next to the service department. The second building we used for machines to be repaired and also for repaired machines ready for pick up. Plus I asked about the large compressor that we had in there and it was brand new and not responsible. I still think an ecm could have been responsible on an older unit. They just haven't narrowed it down yet.

I don't think the Rzrs spontaneously combust. Its more like they gradually build heat the longer they run and eventually they could start a fire after many miles of hard riding. The chance they could start a fire just sitting in a repair shop is very unlikely. But finding out about this recall after a fire has occurred makes you think and double check that's for sure. There was a fire in a building less than a block away from me last year and I think the cause was narrowed down to an overloaded circuit breaker.

These are the ones I'd still be concerned with as they have had several catch fire.Safety Recall - ATV Multiple Models - Revised and Expanded ECM Fire Hazard Bulletin | Polaris Industries Even though it's been years, still a bunch of these around that still have the Chinese modules that were the worst on this. Even the newer US made ones could heat up and melt causing a potential fire hazard. Hope that's not the problem on the Rzrs. Hope it's an exhaust related problem or something off that nature that can be easily fixed.

XP1K catch fire
seems to be improper routing of the fuel tank vent line from the dealers during uncrate and cage install me thinks
They are very vague about what the recall is for in their letters big shocker there

Polaris has announced their plan to make things right for owners affected by the RZR recall.. Not only is the repair, parts and labor on the house but both in-warranty and out-of-warranty vehicles that have to be repaired can expect some goodies for the hassle:

For as much as any turbo side by side costs, a 5 year warranty should be included for free anyway. Its a way for Polaris to try to save face and not lose customers to Can-Am. They're both neck an neck in performance and with the new X3, Can-Am has leapfrogged them to the front of the line. And if you get the base model X3, its basically the same price as the turbo Rzr.

Well finally rode my 570. The EPS is awesome! I love the features of these new models. What I didn't like was how it handled downhill. The ADC is very touchy. My 800 never performed like that. I felt its adjustment was perfect.

Is the a breaking issue or could it be a problem?

Thanks,

R'
