Default Is there any good places to ride/race in Iowa???

I am interviewing with a company in Des Moines Iowa next week. I was wondering if there are any good MX tracks and offroad parks in the area. I'm pretty lucky here in Indiana I'm within 45 mins of 8 different MX tracks and only a little over an hour from Red Bud.

I used to live in Ames, about 30 minutes north of Des Moines. They had a bunch of awesome running trails and stuff. Some for ATV's but not really sure. I did most of my riding in southern MN. It is a good area though, nice people. TOO HOT IN THE SUMMER THOUGH!!! That is where Alaska is nice!

We are trying to get a park in Des Moines, probably something like a track. Only an hour away is Bluff Creek OHV park: awesome place!! Three tracks: beginner, intermediate and advanced. Lots of great hills, riding for all abilities, but mostly for intermediate/advanced. Go to the Iowa OHV Association webpage: www.iowaohv.com, you can find out about the four existing OHV parks. There are many private places to ride, if you are a member of the local club that maintains it. Currently, a park in Fort Dodge, IA is in the works...it will be a 1500 acre park, the biggest in the midwest and it is the BEST riding in the state and probably the midwest. About 1.5 hours from Des Moines. I like Iowa a lot, I've lived in Kansas, Colorado, Pennsylvania and New York, yet I am here because I really like the way of life. Good luck in your job interviews.
