2003 Trailblazer not charging?

2003 Trailblazer not charging?
Help!
My sons 03 250 Trailblazer has stopped charging it's battery? Note this started after routing a new choke cable (maybe something got unplugged?). We charge up the battery and we are good for a month of day ridding, put on the lights and it's dead in a few hours. I do not have test equipment but if there is a fuse or a connector I should look for before taking it in any help please!
Sorry for making this short but I am on nights and have not slept!
