What is the best gear combo for a TLE predator. I am running the sand gecko tires.

you"ll find that gearing it down a bit works best in the sand. try changing the front to a 13 tooth. By the way, those gecko's are the worst tire you can buy for sand.

I went with a 13 on front and 39 on back after some trial and error.

I am running the Geckos and I have settled on 13-38, because it pulls well in fourth on the sand climbs I race at Glamis, with the mods I have done. (see my signature block).
I am looking for a lighter weight tire and rim combo now....but the Geckos have served me well.

Just remember when putting a 13t on the 04 & 05 it could wear your chain slider out alot quicker. I would go with a 40t or a 41t, and you can get them form Nicholas Cycle

RAJ....40 / 41 sounds good. What about chain length?

When I had my 40t, stock chain worked, and I think it would work with the 41t also. I just got the D.I.D. X-ring racing chain. Best chain I have ever seen.
