Default 1996 Polaris 400 rebuild

I'm rebuilding a 1996 polaris 400. I am not sure if it's been rebored. The top of the piston has 38B stamped on it. Is this a stock piston ?

Help Me .

doesnt sound like an overbore number that ive delt with before.better take it to the shop and have it miked.

just send it to ritter, and have him bore it one size up w/ a wiseco..and u might as well get the port while your at it
