Default 2004 Polaris Sportsman 700 EFI

I'm going to be going to look at a 2004 Polaris Sportsman 700 EFI tomorrow, and this will be my first utility atv purchase. The guy claims it has 150hrs, Special Edition, 54" manual Cycle Country Plow purchased 6 months ago, new battery, needs high beam light. He's had it for sale for a few weeks already in the local swapper magazine. I'll use the quad a little bit to tool around on, not too much trail riding, mainly snow plowing in the winter. I believe this is the first year for the EFI. What is a good deal for something like this? What should I look for when I go and check out this quad? Are there any typical problems to be aware of?

Thanks,

I have this quad. Fuel pump went at 200 mi., front diff at 600. But I love the performance of the machine. What does he want for it?

He's asking 5500 obo, and indicated he's negotiable. My debate is I can get a brand new 06 500EFI for about 6K OTD right now.

What is a "good/great" deal on this used quad???

I would say 4500-5000 is a good deal If it is in MINT condition. Look for leaks. near the tranny drain plug. Check AWD. Leave it off and make sure it doesn't go on when it is in the off possition.(if u can drive it offroad)

I just sold mine that was mint condition with 335 miles for 4000 I could have gotten a little more but he was a friend, I also had the fuel pump go when I first got it in 04 then the fuel regulator shortly after but that thing was a good machine overall.
