Battery Charger
my advice is to find an older one, because we bought a new smart battery charger, and it has a problem with every battery it see's from a damaged battery cell, to an open cell. we usally have to get some jumper cables and hook the battery up too a running truck with the jumper cables. to get some juice in it than the "smart" battery charger is a try's to charge it. i have had a terrible time with the dumb thing. just my 2 cents.

totally agree - the new "smart" chargers suck. I paid 100 bucks for one that "does it all" 6 and 12 volt. you have to keeps pressing buttons until it "sees" the battery it takes like 20 minutes for it to MAYBE work - I hate it. I know my 6v battery is down on my porsche and the charger will say its fully charged until I F with it for ever. then it may start charging. I hate computers - they make stuff TOO smart for thier own good if you ask me
I have a small tender for my quad and it works great.

How do you attach a charger to the battery. I have an 07 sportsman and there isn't any way to clip a charger to the battery without taking it out of the holder.
Should the posts be on the inside? Mine are on inside and are mashing the rubber protectors so the post won't short out. Anyone have a this problem?

Not sure about your 07 but my new 08 400 HO has the battery mounted up inside where it is imposible to access so Polaris runs a battery cable with quick connect end up to the radiator access hole in the front storage area, great idea!</end quote></div>
You learn something new every day, I wasn't aware of this, what does it look like?
