Default Wood chip in wheel

So I was riding last weekend and took a big dip in a pot hole and heard a nice bang. Once I inspected the bike I found a nice ding in my front left rim. I also found some wood chips sticking out of were the tire and rim meet. Should I have this tire taken off and put back on? I pulled some of the wood out but there is still a small amount which is wedged right in there?

I beat the crap out of my rims. When I get wood jammed in I find I can usually pull it out with needlenose pliers after letting all the air out of the tire. You can even pry the gap open farther with a screwdriver to loosen it up more.

Get it cleaned out. I had tires on one of my aircraft go flat from straw wedging between tire and rim.

It has to come out, for sure. I've actually gone so far as to take the core out of the valve and run the tire over with my truck to break the bead, to get all the crap out, but usually just airing it down makes the tire let go.

ive had crap in my rims for a long time w/out any issues, but you could let the air out or down low and maybe be able to pull the stuff out as long as you dont break the bead.

you need to relize that if they went in that far your tire would be going flat. this isnt to say that it couldnt happen.

so, it would be going flat? why would it be going flat if it is just wedged into the crack?
