Default Rear cargo box (Lock&Ride)

The wife is looking to buy me the rear cargo
lock and ride box for my Sportsman.

To those who have them, is there really enough
storage and do you think its worth the price? Is it
really waterproof? -- That one is important to me!

What on-line stores would sell them cheaper than
Polaris on-line web store?

Thansk for all the help!

Hello R'
I don't have the rear box, I have the front box for the XP. It seems to be waterproof, I have washed my XP with the hose full on it and no water entered the box. It has a rubber seal around the edge where the lid closes.
As for where to get them, I'm not sure other than from Polaris or e-bay.
Take care and Merry Christmas!

My father has the rear lock & ride box on his Hawkeye and loves it. Very secure, tons of storage space. I don't know about spraying it down with a hose, but it's been left out in rain and snow and stays perfectly dry. I'd recommend it.

I have the rear lock and ride on my 07 800 and it is great. It is waterproof, at least mine has been, it is way better than a soft bag. I had 2 soft bag's and they get destroyed and get wet if riding in rain. I made some divider's for mine, that keep's everything seperated and pack it tight to keep thing's from bouncing around. I bought mine from Brese Lawn and Garden on EBAY. Bought and shipped to my house for $150.00. Hope this help's.

It will vibrate abit, just put 2 bungee's over it and that will solve that.

I have the rear box for my Touring and have been very happy with it lots of space and is waterproof unless completely under water (don't ask how Whoops!) in which case a little got in but was impressed with it still.

No drain on mine but would be real easy to install.

Had mine 2 yrs - no complaints. Forget the bungees, just put some weather strip (door type) around the bottom and that stops any very minor vibration. Been through lots of rain and snow - dry
