Unhappy Transmission plug wearing!!!???!!!

I changed the fluids for the first time today in my 08 SP800 and the transmission drain plug is badly worn.

I can feel a loose chain right on the inside top of the drain hole. What's up with this? Any ideas??

I've heard of them rubbing some but that seems pretty extreme. Try grinding the plug down and checking it frequently. If it is still rubbing I'd talk to the dealer. Must have fixed it for the 09's. I just did the break-in service on mine and it was fine.

yes, please read the several threads that are out there

It's the silent chain in the transmission that stretches, and hits the plug, it is a normal design fault, and some ground down the plug more, so it isn't within reach of hitting the chain
