Default Cooling Fan

The fan behind the rad on a 95 sportsman does it run at a certain temp or is it supposed to always run?

Shouldn't be running all the time. I'd check the temp sensor first. Maybe look for a shorted wire too.

Most likely I'd say it's the sensor. Part #1 in the diagram.

Yea was going to try it out tomarrow..first going to heat it up to the point were the rad is hot if I dont see it come on then pull the plastic off,pull the sensor and test it..

Just placed the darn plastic back on today...laughs

fan is activevated by the temp sensor reading a turn on temp(most likely around 200) and then shuts on around 185.
