Unhappy Testing coil 700 sportsman

I surched a couple of threads on here about no spark & need some help. I have a late 04 700 efi sportsman with no spark. same symptoms from what I read on here it ran fine then shut it down and would not start sat for a couple of weeks ran great same thing not completely dead. I checked all my harness for cracks battery fully charged cleaned and inspected all grounds so here is my question.
1. how do I check the coil? it is a bosh coil
2. how do I check the stator
3. any idea on what ohms is for ground from engine to coil mounting block ?

HEY GUY SORRY FOR ALL THE QUESTIONS TOOK COIL TO MY DEALER AND MEC. ON DUTY DID NOT KNOW HOW TO CHECK COIL. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELP!

ok isolate the coil, "unhook the wires", check the side where the wires come in from, ur ohm reading should be small like .7 ohms, then check from one of the points on top of the coil into the plug cap should read anywhere from 14k to 20 k ohms. on those machines, the plug cap is what normally goes bad, lets water in cuz it doesn't seal very good

Thank you: here is what I get when I check the top of coil where the wire harnes plugs in. There are three leads one being ground, when I go from ground to the first lead I get .9 ohms on the other I get 1.3 ohms

For the second read are you saying I should test from one of the leads were the harnes plugs into to the cap on coil? if so I get nothing.
