Advice on piston stuck in caliper?
Have an oldie... 1989 Big Boss. It uses a caliper to grab the transmission... Took off the caliper to inspect nd the piston is stuck all the way in. Brake fluid comes out the line when pumped... but not near enough force to move the piston out. Looking for any and all suggestions... Have heard of compressed air... Thanks for any help.

welcome to the forum. sounds like the piston is rusted into the caliper. chances are you'll find a ring of rust near the very outside edge of where they meet in which it will always leak if you try to clean it up when you get it apart. had the samee isue w/ my car and couldn't find a rebuild kit(and i doubt polaris has on either) so i had to replace the whole caliper. you might be able to use compressed air if you have enough pressure and a good seal to force air into it. i had to use a pry device to get it back enough off the disk. good luck.
