Default sportsman 600 jet kit

anyone jet a 600. i just have moose foam filter ,heavier tires(sedona ripsaw) and an aluminum inline water cooler. will a jet help any with performance alone without any other mods. does it effect only WOT? or all riding. mileage up or down?

What goes in gotta come out! Jet kit would improve response, but you need a good exhaust system to make full use of it. Others will chime in on the performance end of this and if its worth it or not along with clutching, etc and their experience with different options OPT

most of the 600,s Ive worked on were too lean from the factory, make sure fuel screw is set at 2.5 turns out and go up one jet size, cant remember for sure but it seems like the 2 I did had a 145 main and I went to 147.5, any way I know I went up one size and it helped them

im pretty sure previous owner did nothing for mods yet i have a 155 main jet and mixture was tight so out maybe a 1/8th of a turn. bike has been running fine but maybe a bit rich. so i take it it has the wrong jet?? or did you remember incorrectly

I know there was a bulletin on the jets. After I bought mine, the dealer rejetted to make it run richer, but I don't know what the jetting is at....

Should be 155 stock main, or if mfg after 10/2/03 shows 157.5 main jet. Just depends on what altitude your at. Stock jets usually are for sea level up to about 3000 feet. Plus are you running NGK plugs or still running Champions? Plus hopefully yours was mfg after 2/03 when the Ducati system was changed! OPT
