Does anybody know if the motor used in the 300 Express/Explorer is the same as the Trail Blazer 250 (sporting a bigger bore obviously)? I'm looking at getting some more power out of mine and going to the 300 piston (it would be 77.5mm if the stroke is still 60mm like the 250) seems like the best first step.
Thanks, Scott.

Scott,

I thought about the exact same thing when I bought my Trailblazer. Unfortuneatly, the bore is not only bigger but the stroke is longer too. You would have to end up getting a new crank along with the cylinder, piston, rod, ect..... This would seem like a lot more work than the you would gain out of a 300 kit. My advise is to have it ported and have the head milled for higher compression. Add a 34 mm carb from a 400 and let her rip!
