Default New Polaris 2015 line-up

Let me be the first to say that I thought Polaris was going to have a BNG (bold new graphics) kind of new year model intro. I was wrong.

The new Polaris ETX with a fuel injected 300 cc class???? engine that puts out 30 HP in a mid-sized chassis with 4wd for under $6K.

Sportsman ACE with the 570 that is now in the RZR 570 and value line Sportsman. I'm sure they'll sell fast.

Sportsman 1000 XP and 1000 Touring!!!

50" trail width RZR 900!!!

Slingshot to compete with the Spyder.

I'm impressed.

Definetly a great lineup but these motors have been very troublesome , haven't heard much on the RzR but the 550s,850s and 1000s sportsman XPs have been a headache. I'd rather have a reliable Rotax powerplant. I do like the 570 ace and the RzR1000 XP desert edition is just about the nastiest thing I've ever seen. Just wish they held up a little better.

The 570 pulls very well. Wouldn't mind getting the Sportsman X2 with the 570. I miss the X2 I used to have. It had the 500 which was underpowered for high speed on open hill climbs. But, it was fantastic as a work horse. Even with the 650 the Outlander doesn't seem to have as much torque as the single cylinder Polaris 500.

I wouldn't have bought the ACE or recommended it to anyone but a newbie with the 300 cc class engine. 570 would be really nice for it. About the same HP as it is in the RZR 570 but with about 200 lbs. less weight.

I wonder if that 327cc will come close to matching the torque of the 455cc? That is my concern.

The 570 ACE should be a good seller for them. I know quite a few were disappointed with the 325cc initial offering in that unit.

The ACE has a 430 prostar not a 325, doesn't it?

The 550, 850, 1000 engines share no parts with the
430, 570, 875, 999.

are the 550. 850, 999 having engine problems?

Some 850s have had timing gears slip.. not too good when it happens. Gear is pressed on the crank and usually destroys crank along with valves if it happens. Guys at the old shop have done a couple rebuilds. Glad I retired before all this came about.Hopefully Polaris has addressed this issue..or they better have!

Smaller motors can have good hp but usually displacement in the only way to get better bottom low rpm ft/lb torque.
There's no replacement for displacement as they say.

When it first came out the ACE had a 330 cc or so. May have been a 300. 570 is a great engine for the ACE. The original engine would be great for new riders/drivers.
