Check the small wire leading to the solenoid from the switch. Should power up to trigger it. If it doesn't then very well could be as simple as a faulty ignition switch as long as it runs ok,charges 14 volts back to the battery, etc. Cheaper than an ecm,but keep the ecm in mind if other problems come up.

The white/red wire is the wire from the ignition switch that triggers the solenoid to jump power to the starter lead wire. Possible too if you have power to this wire, the solenoid could be faulty if the only way to crank it is to jump the battery post to the starter post.

Still could be a harness problem since it had two previous owners, one who had by passed the ecm, plus could have done other things.. But at close to $400 for the harness a 5 buck manual may help you track down the problem without having to go to any more expense. Wiring schematics, trouble shooting tests along with speedo tests in the manual ( even though you have a used one also)may help you track down the problem.2005 Polaris Magnum 330 Service Manual PDF Download

Ok I have found my problem finally!!!So on the 16 pin connector on back of the spedo pin 1 should have 12v constant and I have only .2 volts going to that. I followed that wire and there are 2 accessory leads and then it goes to the ecm. Pin 2 is the r/w 12v switch and I have no volts to that. That is where I am at now.
