I have the manual they just say replace Speedo.
Here is the only link I found where someone actually disabled a speedo and fixed it.

Quite understandable as for most people money's tight.. If you want to drive it and have awd, just ground the brown/white speedo connector wire to a good brown or ground to bypass the awd section in the speedo. If still no awd just do the common ground from the awd wires. Speedo can be added later and you can remove the jumper from the brown/white wire in the harness connector.I'd still do a harness check if you haven't already to check for any broken wires.Might save the pocket book 300 bucks.

I guess you did not read my above link. The person (TatorTot} shows how to take a speedo apart and fix it NOT bypass it.
Might as well give it a try if a speedo is important to you.
When the day comes for me with my SP500 I,m just by passing the thing is to fogged up to tell anything anyways.
Here is TaterTots pics before (Top) and after.

Found a couple of them out there to add to TaterTots posts. This may also help people that are electronically inclined and have ruled out a harness problem.Earlier year model speedos, but may include the same components.http://ka7oei.blogspot.com/2013/10/r...n-polaris.html
