I understand completely and its not your fault.Whereabouts are you anyways? I'm putting one new one in, if the other one goes I don't think I would want to put a used one in. That's all. Had I have known, I would have had asked if you had two, then I would have done for sure.then I would have done it for sure.

OPT, I hope you see this and can advise. While waiting for my axle to get here, I had a bad bearing in my fan (it rattled like crazy) but it worked. I bought one off ebay used (I'm a dummy) and after installing it, it does not turn on. My relay kicks in (the headlights dim) then they get bright. So, I unplugged the installed ebay fan and put my old fan on the front rack and plugged it in and when power was supplied it turned on. So I know the relay works and the temp activated switch works, and power is going to the fan plug. Is there anything you can recommend for me to salvage or make it work? is it hard to piece mine and the new one together being I just need the bearing? Or should I just go through a return and ship etc...then start all over? TIA

Wouldn't ever get a used electrical part on ebay.. Try here as I think yours is a 9 inch fan.Spal Electric Fans - The Fan Man Plus here's a new one for your Part #2410123 for 80 bucks.http://www.ebay.com/itm/Spal-Polaris-Cage-Fan-2410123-Sportsman-400-2001-2002-2003-2004-/131419355761?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e99343a71&vxp=mtr

Opt, Thanks. I realized that it works fine just pinched the shroud while installing it and it was stopping the fan from turning. A couple of minor adjustments it spins fine and works as intended. As an update, I mounted the tires on the rims old redneck way and they look great but I must have a bead leak so a buddy of mine is getting bead sealer and I will break the bead put the sealer on and reseat the bead. Still waiting on the axle to arrive which should be Friday or Saturday and I hope to work on it Saturday Sunday or sometime during the week. I hope it's as easy as a swap and I hope I don't run into a problem with the races or bearings. I'll keep you posted.thanks again for your help.
