Default 2004 sportsman 400 radiator guard question

Hi guys,
I recently bought a 2004 polaris sportsman 400 that is missing a radiator guard and was wondering whether this one from 600 would work. Thanks

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Polaris-Sportsman-600-4x4-2003-Front-Bumper-Radiator-Guard-9507-/291483628960?hash=item43ddc735a0&vxp=mtr
If not what would work, I know that sportsman 500 works but I can't find any either.

Instead of buying an old used one that may or may not fit for 40 bucks, save 40 more and get the right one. 1013366-067 WELD-GUARD,BRUSH,BLK $88.90

A complete guard with mesh and grille will set me back 130; and that is why I am here, to make sure it fits, even with slight modification.

This is my front by the way.

For 39 bucks worth a try even if it does need some modification to fit.Basic shape, grill, mesh screen look similar to yours on the parts break down.

Here you go and this one fits.Looks just like the one on my 400.. This one also has extra side brackets you need. all in all its a good deal. If mine was missing i would snap it right up

The brackets look similar to a winch/bumper mount I used to have.

I just ended up getting the one for 40 bucks. Will let you know how it fits.

On a separate note, would Rotella full synthetic 0W40 work well in the 400? I can get a gallon for 10 bucks

Yes,I've used the T6 5w40 in my motorcycle, mowers, plus many cycle/atv owners use it. A good heavy duty synthetic oil that's designed for diesels but at a lower cost than Mobil 1,Amsoil,etc. The T6 5w40 is also jaso ma,md approved(no friction modifiers) not sure on the 0w40,but wont hurt on the 400 because of the the cvt and no wet clutch system. Some discussions on Bob the oil guy about it.New: Shell Rotella 0w-40 | Heavy Duty Engine Oil (HDEO) - Diesel/Gas Pickups/Trucks/Vans | Bob Is The Oil Guy
