pvc spring spacer question

Default pvc spring spacer question

ok so im wanting to do the spring spacer mod and im wondering if i need to cut the coupler in half or what , the coupler is like 2.5 inches long and it seems like itll be to big !

if your referring to my spring fix then no I didn't cut the spacer in half as they are not that tall if I remember correctly.

yea thats what im refering to , the coupler i got is 2 1/2 inches tall. also did you put pipe in both ends of the coupler ?

yes I put pipe in both sides and cut it off flush with spacer to give extra strength to the spacers. I will have to measure mine as I do not think I cut mine but maybe I did as it was 4 years ago. I have done this spacers fix to about 4 wheelers that has worked well for me.

well I just went and looked at mine and I was wrong as on my 500 I put grey spacers(electrical conduit)and cut them back to 1 1/4" high as I didn't want that much of a lift. on my 2 800's I went with white pvc sked 40 fittings and painted them. so I guess bottom line you can cut them to what height you want. sorry for the confusion.

Ok so I got the spring spacers on and I also put a 2 inch lift kit on top of strut but now my tires are slanted inwards at bottom of tires ! It's pigeon toed bad , what's causing this or is it normal for it to be like this \ /

mine did that when I have too much of a spacer in it so I cut it down a little. toed in a little isn't bad but sounds like you have way too much.
